In May 2012 I spent a few days in London for some rare, but much needed sightseeing. The British were busy prepping for the Queen's Jubilee. They are very patriotic and, oh, what a celebratory feeling was in the air. Selfridges had Union Jacks strewn from one side of the street to the other. Here are some photos from the trip.
Union Jacks everywhere!
The signature red buses still cover the city.
More Union Jacks!
The Queen's Guard keeps watch.
Big Ben in the distance on a gray rainy day.
Quintessential red telephone booth.
